Set in a 1940s deco shopfront in the picturesque Huon Valley is the recently refurbished Ranelagh General Store (RGS).
Not your regular general store, while there is a curated selection of Tasmanian food products, RGS is predominately a burger bar/café. The spotlight here is on the unique flavour combinations given to the humble burger.
Ingredients are sourced locally and the burger options include; venison, wallaby, rabbit and duck as well as the usual suspects beef, pork, lamb, chicken and vegetarian and vegan options too.
The service is friendly and the burgers are complimented with an array of house-made sweet treats and an interesting drinks menu with shakes, frappes and great coffee.
