Singapore Airlines is set to boost its Adelaide to Singapore flights to 10 times a week during the northern winter of 2024 and summer of 2025, up from the current seven weekly services. Emirates also recently confirmed the return of its Adelaide flights starting on October 28.

South Australian Minister for Tourism Zoe Bettison shared her excitement with Travel Weekly, stating, "It’s fantastic to see Singapore Airlines increasing their flights to Adelaide to 10 per week from October. This will attract more visitors from our key tourism markets for summer and a series of major events in South Australia."

"As Adelaide’s longest-serving international airline, Singapore Airlines has maintained a strong partnership with the State Government through the South Australian Tourism Commission. Since beginning flights to Adelaide in 1984, the airline has been instrumental in boosting tourism spending and promoting travel to our state.

She explained that the increase from seven to 10 flights per week will attract more visitors from Singapore, South Australia's fourth-largest international market in terms of visitor spending, as well as from key markets in Europe and the UK.

"The timing is perfect as we head into summer, with a lineup of major international events, including the Chihuly exhibition at the Botanic Garden, a Christmas Test Match between Australia and India this December, the Adelaide International tennis in January, and the 25th Santos Tour Down Under."

Finding suitable Adelaide accommodation is key for those planning to visit during these exciting times. Corporate Keys offers a range of serviced apartments and short-term rentals catering to both leisure and business travellers, ensuring a comfortable stay in the city's heart.

Flight frequencies to Ho Chi Minh City will increase to three times daily, up from the current 19 weekly services, while Siem Reap's flights will double to twice daily from the current single daily service.

Between March 30 and October 25, 2025, Singapore Airlines will expand its Singapore to London (Gatwick) route to a daily service, up from the current five weekly flights. This will bring the airline’s total to five daily services to the UK capital, along with the four daily flights to London (Heathrow).

Flights to Rome will also increase, with services rising to five times a week between June 26 and August 28, 2025, up from the current four weekly flights.

"Singapore Airlines regularly evaluates our network and routes to ensure our capacity aligns with demand," said Dai Haoyu, Singapore Airlines' acting senior vice president of marketing planning.

"These adjustments, made before next summer, are designed to meet the higher demand for several destinations, particularly during the peak mid-year travel season. We are excited to offer our customers the confidence to plan their 2025 travels, connecting them to the world through SIA's extensive network while delivering an exceptional travel experience."

Starting June 24, 2025, Singapore Airlines will separate its three-times weekly Singapore-Milan-Barcelona flights, instead offering five direct flights per week to Barcelona through September 7, 2025, up from the current two weekly flights. Milan will see an increase in daily flights, up from the current four times a week.

From December 11, 2024, to January 10, 2025, and again from April 2 to October 24, 2025, Singapore Airlines will add a three-times weekly service to Johannesburg, increasing the total number of flights to 10 per week during these periods, up from the current daily service.

The Airbus A380 is set to return to Tokyo (Narita) between March 30, 2025, and May 31, 2025, replacing the Boeing 787-10 on one of its two daily services. However, the A380 will be temporarily removed from routes to Mumbai from July 28, 2025, to August 31, 2025, and Delhi from June 23, 2025, to July 27, 2025, with the Boeing 777-300ER stepping in for these services.

In another update, Singapore Airlines announced it will suspend its Houston route via Manchester starting April 1, 2025. However, it will continue to operate five weekly flights between Singapore and Manchester through services SQ302 and SQ301.
