Starting 3 September, Qantas is launching a new direct service from Melbourne to Honolulu, which will add over 40,000 seats annually to its U.S. routes. This new route complements the existing Sydney to Honolulu flights operated by both Qantas and Jetstar, which together run eight times per week.

Qantas CEO International Cam Wallace expressed excitement about the expansion, stating, “We are delighted to enhance our American network with this new route from Melbourne to Honolulu, offering our Melbourne customers access to an exciting tropical destination.”

The new Qantas flights will operate three times a week using an Airbus A330 aircraft.

In conjunction with this route announcement, Qantas is launching a 7-day North and South America Red Tail Sale, offering more than 50,000 discounted seats across its network starting today.

Economy fares in the sale begin at $1,049 return, with discounts available on over 30 routes, including Sydney and Brisbane to Los Angeles ($1,199), Sydney to Vancouver ($1,599), Melbourne to Honolulu ($1,049), and Melbourne to Dallas ($1,699).
