TransNusa began selling flight tickets for the new Bali to Perth route on January 15, with prices starting at IDR 1.799.
TransNusa Group CEO, Datuk Bernard Francis, stated that the new international route was introduced to offer passengers more travel options.
"The Bali-Perth international route is a golden route, as Perth consistently accounts for the highest number of tourists to Bali almost every year. This makes the demand for this route equally significant," said Datuk Bernard Francis, CEO of TransNusa.
He further announced that the maiden flight from Bali to Perth is scheduled for March 20, 2025.
"Initially, we will operate three weekly flights on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Starting April 12, we will increase the frequency to four flights a week by adding a Tuesday service. From June 1, the route will transition to daily flights," he added.

TransNusa has introduced a new international route from Bali to Perth, with ticket prices starting from IDR 1.799. Ticket sales began on January 15, with the first flight scheduled for March 20, 2025. The route aims to cater to the strong demand from Perth, which consistently ranks as one of Bali’s largest sources of tourists.
Flight Details and Schedule
The Bali-Perth flight (8B 080) will depart I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport at 9:10 AM and arrive at Perth Airport at 12:50 PM. The return flight (8B 081) will depart Perth at 1:35 PM, landing back in Bali at 5:20 PM. The route will initially operate three times a week (Monday, Thursday, and Saturday), increasing to four weekly flights from April 12 with the addition of a Tuesday service. Daily flights will commence from June 1, 2025.
TransNusa will operate an Airbus A320 with a seating capacity of 174 passengers on this 3-hour, 40-minute route.
Enhanced Travel Opportunities
In addition to the Bali-Perth route, TransNusa operates five weekly flights from Bali to Manado, Indonesia’s renowned diving destination. This allows tourists from Perth to extend their travel plans and visit Manado via a connecting flight.
For travelers planning extended stays in Perth, the city offers a range of comfortable long-stay apartments that cater to both leisure and business visitors. These accommodations provide the convenience of home-like amenities, including fully equipped kitchens, spacious living areas, and easy access to local attractions, making them an ideal choice for extended trips or family vacations.
Booking and Exclusive Offers
Tickets for TransNusa flights can be purchased through the airline's official website, transnusa.co.id, or any secure online travel agent. The airline offers three product bundles—SEAT, SEAT-PLUS, and FLEXI-PRO—designed to provide passengers with premium services at competitive prices.
Each bundle includes varying levels of baggage allowance (15–30 kg) in addition to the standard 7 kg hand-carry allowance. The highest package, FLEXI-PRO, includes a 30 kg checked baggage allowance, free seat selection, complimentary meals and drinks, priority check-in and boarding, as well as flexibility to change flight schedules without restrictions and request refunds when necessary.
“Our goal is to provide passengers with an affordable yet premium flying experience. With our A320 configuration, passengers enjoy a spacious 30-inch legroom comparable to that of full-service airlines,” said Datuk Bernard Francis, TransNusa Group CEO.
Recovery and Rapid Growth
After suspending operations in September 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, TransNusa relaunched in October 2022 under new shareholders and management led by Datuk Bernard. Within six months, the airline introduced its first international route between Jakarta and Kuala Lumpur, celebrating its one-year milestone in April 2024.
Since then, TransNusa has rapidly expanded, launching three additional international routes by the end of 2023. This growth strategy has established TransNusa as Southeast Asia’s fastest-growing airline.
Innovative Contributions to the Aviation Industry
TransNusa’s innovative approach has redefined Indonesia’s aviation landscape. The airline made headlines by introducing the first domestic route connecting Bali and Manado and became the second Indonesian airline to gain approval for flights to China, offering passengers more travel options and competitive pricing.
“When we restarted operations, we had no aircraft or roadmap, but we rebuilt everything from the ground up, adapting to the post-pandemic landscape,” Datuk Bernard explained. “Our focus on premium services and strategic international growth has made us a key player in the region.”
With its ambitious vision, competitive pricing, and passenger-first approach, TransNusa continues to transform air travel in Indonesia and beyond.
