Vivid Sydney 2025 will light up the city from Friday, 23 May to Saturday, 14 June 2025, under the captivating theme of "Vivid Sydney, Dream." This year’s festival calls on artists, musicians, thought leaders and culinary innovators to submit their Expressions of Interest (EOI) for a chance to be featured in Australia’s premier multi-artform event. This is a remarkable opportunity to showcase your work to a wide audience across the festival's core pillars: Light, Music, Ideas, and Food.
Destination NSW CEO Steve Cox commented, “Since its inception in 2009, Vivid Sydney has become Sydney’s vibrant cultural showcase, driving significant tourism to Sydney and regional NSW and establishing our state as the leading hub for arts and creative industries in the Asia Pacific.
“Vivid Sydney is more than a light show; it is Sydney’s dynamic legacy, capturing the imagination of locals and visitors and highlighting exceptional talent in our creative, entertainment, and hospitality sectors.
“I encourage the brightest talents to collaborate with Destination NSW to create an event that reinforces the Harbour City’s status as the Asia Pacific’s top destination for world-class cultural experiences.”
Festival Director Gill Minervini added, “Vivid Sydney 2025 aims to push creative boundaries with the theme ‘Dream,’ delivering an unforgettable global celebration.
“Dreaming is a universal and timeless experience. It can be personal or collective, and when shared, dreams have the power to inspire and connect. They are central to our human story, providing insight into our existence and history.
“We invite outstanding local talent to join us in crafting a Vivid Sydney event that fosters community connection, sparks imagination, and demonstrates how art can enrich our lives.
“Each year, Vivid Sydney strives for artistic excellence, and we look forward to the contributions from our community that will make Vivid Sydney 2025 an exceptional cultural event.”
The Vivid Sydney EOI process welcomes submissions from artists, designers, creative professionals, equipment suppliers, architects, engineers, promoters, restaurants, event companies, chefs, producers, and educational institutions. Submissions are sought for ideas, designs, and concepts across the festival’s themes.
EOIs for Light and Cross Art Forms will close on Monday, 2 September 2024, while those for Ideas, Music, and Food will close on Friday, 27 September 2024.
