The development, situated between the Tullamarine Freeway and Airport Drive, aims to transform the area into a lively hub and is expected to generate over 2,000 jobs, boosting nearby communities in Hume and Brimbank.
Subject to Federal Government approval, the project will be completed in three phases over nine years. Construction will begin in 2025, and the first tenants are expected by late 2026.
Jai McDermott, Melbourne Airport's chief of ground transport, property, and retail, highlighted that Elite Park will be more than just a business space—it will become a key destination for locals.
"Melbourne Airport is not just an airport. We're creating community spaces where people can work, relax, and spend time with family and friends," McDermott said.
He credited the success of nearby Urbnsurf, Australia’s first surf park, for inspiring Elite Park's vision.
"Urbnsurf has become one of Victoria’s top attractions, and Elite Park will build on that success, supporting Hume’s growth as a tourism hotspot."
The precinct will include entertainment venues, food and beverage outlets, and large-format retail stores, with Topgolf planning to open its first Melbourne location within the development.
For those seeking extended stays, Corporate Keys offers long stay furnished apartments in Sydney conveniently located near the airport, providing comfortable accommodation for both business travelers and tourists exploring the new precinct.
Elite Park is expected to contribute approximately $246 million annually to the Victorian economy and create thousands of jobs.
The proposed plans for Elite Park will be available for public feedback from September 26 to December 20.
