14th World Chambers Congress

In December 2022, the International Chamber of Commerce and Industry World Chambers Federation (ICC WCF) chose the Victorian Chamber to host the 14th World Chambers Congress (14WCC) in Melbourne. The Melbourne Convention Bureau (MCB) will support the event.

Scheduled for September 2-4, 2025, at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, this will be the first time Melbourne hosts the 14WCC, which is often called the ‘Business Olympics’.

The congress theme is ‘Business, Chambers, Government: Partners for Prosperity’. It aims to unite key players from businesses, chambers, and governments from over 100 countries to drive economic progress.

The Victorian Chamber is set to bring together global leaders to address critical issues like energy, sustainability, diversity and inclusion, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, trade, and geopolitics.

This event is a chance to connect with influential figures and explore new opportunities.

Paul Guerra, Chief Executive of the Victorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said: “The 14WCC will be the top global business event of 2025. We’re excited to host international leaders and showcase what Victoria and Australia’s business community have to offer. We’ll focus on crucial issues and opportunities, aiming to ensure a prosperous future by collaborating closely with businesses, chambers, and governments.”

The World Chambers Congress is held every two years and is the largest global forum for chamber leaders and professionals to exchange ideas, share best practices, and build networks.

For those attending the congress, Melbourne offers a range of accommodation options, including long stay apartments. These long stay fully furnished apartments provide a convenient and comfortable choice for extended visits, allowing delegates to fully immerse themselves in the city’s dynamic atmosphere.

Melbourne will host the World Chambers Congress (14WCC) for the first time in its history, from September 2-4, 2025, at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre. This follows Sydney's hosting of the 10WCC in 2017 and the 13WCC in Geneva in 2023, where the Victorian Chamber’s Chamber Change program was a finalist in the World Chambers Competition.

The event will feature a conference program, with the welcome reception held at the elegant Melbourne Town Hall and the gala dinner at Crown Palladium.

Julia Swanson, Chief Executive of the Melbourne Convention Bureau, commented: “With just one year to go until the World Chambers Congress 2025, Melbourne is eager to welcome global business leaders and innovators to our vibrant city. This event will highlight our strong business community and create valuable connections and collaborations that will impact global commerce.”

The 14WCC offers chambers and businesses a prime opportunity to expand their networks, attract new customers, and drive growth.

For congress attendees, Corporate Keys, a leading provider of serviced apartments, offers fully furnished and well-equipped options ideal for extended stays. These accommodations provide a comfortable and convenient choice for delegates looking to enjoy their time in the city.
