Sussex Squire Wines is 'Halliday 5 Star' award winning family owned winery in the beautiful Clare Valley.
We produce our award winning single vineyard wines with a high focus on the vineyard, with minimal inputs during the winemaking process to allow the grapes to express the true character of the vineyard. Our flagship Shiraz is from our dry grown vineyard that is maintained and managed with organic vineyard practices. Nine of our wines received 90+ points scores in the 2020 Halliday Wine Companion with 3 wines receiving 95pts. Major varieties produced; Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Mataro, Sangiovese, Riesling , Pinot Grigio.
Our Black Suffolk Sheep roam the vineyard in the winter helping to control weeds and fertilize the soil. We hand prune our vines and hand pick selected parcels of our vineyard to ensure only the best grapes go into making our premium handcrafted wines.
