Basalt Vineyard is located along the Great Ocean Road, only minutes from Port Fairy and Warrnambool.
Basalt is the only local cellar door open daily, offering guests the opportunity to be immersed in a real farm experience, with a flock of Babydoll sheep, plus the wondering mob of ducks and chickens.
When you arrive to the newly constructed cellar door, you will be quietly surprised to learn that Basalt grow some of the best wines around, having taken out the Best Riesling at the Western Victoria wine show, and in addition their Great Ocean Road Pinot Noir 2015 being awarded equal second in Australia at the 2016 Royal Melbourne Wine Show.
Their cellar door also offers lunch, with a strong focus on local produce, seafood and cheeses.
