Stitched Textile Studio

Stitched Textile Studio is the working studio of Marion Matthews. Marion works predominately with fabrics that she has sources whilst travelling. Some old, some new, some hand-printed, some hand-dyed. They could be cotton, linen, silk or wool. From these beautiful fabrics, she creates unique and colourful quilts, throws and a variety of smaller stitched items. Her other passion is hand dyeing with eucalyptus leaves and fibre reactive dyes which combine to produce stunning effects on silk scarves, socks and a range of garments. What distinguishes Marion’s work is the use of colours, tones and strength of designs.
