Karen McKenzie has been working as a fulltime artist for the past eight years. Her love of colour and positivity shines through in many of her works and Karen loves to focus on painting local iconic scenery and townships of South West Victoria. Karen works mostly in acrylic and inks for original works but also works with resin to create handmade pendants featuring her artwork for the local tourism industry. Products available are original artworks, prints, pendants, resin pieces, greeting cards, and kids colourins to name a few items available for purchase.
Originally from Mount Gambier, South Australia, Karen moved to the seaside town of Warrnambool, Victoria, to complete a Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1991.
Working under the name of Karen McKenzie Art, Karen usually combines family and working locations, working between her home base of Mailors Flat, Victoria and the Adelaide Hills, South Australia. The changing landscape and opportunities are abundant, but Karen is currently working out of her studio in Mailors Flat. Visitation of Karens home studio showcasing her works will be available via appointment from December 2020.
