The Market Folk are a Brisbane based marketplace for local makers, creatives and entrepreneurs. Alongside our design stalls we offer creative workshops and pre-loved rack sales within some of Brisbane's leading lifestyle precincts - allowing you to discover, connect, shop and dine all in the one place. Gasworks Markets are very unique - held at an iconic Brisbane Landmark - Newstead Gasworks. Experience a piece of Brisbane's history as the heritage listed Gasometer comes alive with community and creativity. Did you know that the Gasometer was built in 1887 and what we see today are the remains of a giant gas tank - commonly known to be the supply of our city street lights. We are so fortunate to still have our Gasworks in Brisbane, as many have been pulled down across Australia! At the Gasworks Markets you can stroll through the Gasometer lined with stalls, alongside some of Brisbane's best eats! Shop homewares, fashion, eco products, children's products, plants, ceramics, art, photography and more. Find us on the 2nd Friday night of each month 5pm - 9pm except during winter (Jun-Aug) when we switch to Saturday mornings from 9am - 1pm. See you there!
