Shaws Road Winery is a family-owned winery and restaurant nestled in the gentle rolling hills of Arthurs Creek, part of the famous Yarra Valley region. The winery has 14 hectares under grape, producing estate-grown wine typical of the Yarra Valley region including Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz and Merlot. The restaurant has panoramic views over the vineyards and nearby farms, with the Kinglake Ranges in the distance, and is open once a month for visitors to enjoy wine tastings, lunch and cellar door specials. The winery also hosts celebrations, events, art classes, cooking classes and tour groups. There is a separate on-site luxury Bed and Breakfast for guests to enjoy a farmstay experience.
Shaws Road Winery is a true family business, with the wine made by the winemaker George Apted, and delicious restaurant lunches provided by his wife Jan, and served by friends and family. If you want to meet the winemaker and tour the cellars, the production room and the facilities, George is on hand to show you the ropes and talk wine. This is a very beautiful part of the world, and you will be made very welcome and to feel you are part of the family.
