Established in 1941, the Genealogical Society of Victoria has been collecting resources to aid in family history research since that time. Come and access the largest family history collection in Victoria. The collection includes, books, CDs, microfiche, microfilms, maps, pamphlets, periodicals, newspapers and computer databases. The computerised catalogue allows easy access to the collection. New resources are continually added to the collection. Talks, tutorials and seminars help you learn and improve your research skills. There are regular educational classes on various topics to improve your research skills. Tutorials and seminars are scheduled on specific topics. Visit the web site for details of all upcoming classes. Experienced researcher are on hand to help you with your research and to discuss problems. Members of the Genealogical Society of Victoria also receive the award winning quarterly journal, Ancestor. Want to learn more about family history and related subjects? Visit the bookshop.
