    In a cosy corner lot on Cleveland Street, Chippendale, Brickfields has been serving up some of Sydney’s best sourdough bread, sweet pastries and of course Mecca coffee since 2012. What Brickfields lacks in floor space, it more than makes up for in ambience, charm and flavour. Settle in amongst indoor palms and hanging plants with a cappuccino and a thick slice of fig and walnut toast, or any one of their lovingly baked sweet pastries. With streetside seating, you can restfully watch the world go by as you eat. And on your way out (when you manage to drag yourself away), pick up a loaf of sourdough. With a heavy crust, fluffy interior and taste that strikes that perfect balance between savoury and tangy, it will make you a star once you get home.
