Ever wondered where the iconic Aussie rotary mower, Victa, originated? Mervyn Victor Richardson took 'borrowing your neighbours lawn mower' to a whole new level when he laid eyes on the petrol-driven rotary mower designed by neighbour Lawrence Hall, a Marine Engineer, in 1948. This is a social history museum containing over 1000 items including; clothing, household items, furniture, war memorabilia, office equipment, bric-a-brac, books, documents and photographs.
Their displays change regularly so there is always something new to see.
They also have guest speakers on the first Saturday of every month at 2 pm with a diverse range of subjects.
Entry to the museum is free, but donations are always welcome.
