Visitors are welcomed. Use the CBR app upon entry. The exhibition tells the story of Canberra as the capital city of Australia. Canberra is unique in design and innovative in the history of town planning by being the result of a worldwide competition. The winners of that competition, Walter and Marion Griffin, presented a design where the built and the natural landscapes have equal importance. They designed a city that fits in between landmarks and remains in scale with humans. Come and learn more about what was here before the city, how the site and the design were chosen, what it might have looked like and what may happen in the future. All digital presentations have international translations. Open every day except Christmas and Boxing Day.
