Five Star Cinemas is a family picture theatre business that has been in Brisbane for decades. The Sourris brothers, Stephen and Peter, are the passionate movie lovers behind the Five Star Cinema brand, the same men who refurbished the derelict New Farm Cinemas in 2013, The Elizabeth Picture Theatre in 2017, Red Hill Cinemas in 2019 and grew up with the Yatala Drive-In. New Farm Cinemas screens a combination of mainstream movies and quality arthouse films. All six cinemas have the latest in cinema projection, sound, luxurious seating and our one of a kind movie bean bags. The Elizabeth Picture Theatre is located in the Heritage-listed Tara House, best known as the Old Irish Club in Elizabeth Street, and offers an affordable and quality cinema experience for moviegoers of all ages. Red Hill Cinemas screens a combination of mainstream movies and quality arthouse films. This well-known Red Hill landmark has been an epicentre of social activity and pop culture since 1920. Yatala Drive-In is Australia's most modern Drive-In Theatre, boasting 3 massive screens - the biggest of which is 33.5 metres wide! The Five Star Cinemas chain brings back the ‘grand old days’ of cinema to Brisbane. Experience movies and premiere screenings with family and friends, entertain clients or reward your staff by hosting a function with exclusive use of their auditoriums.
