Delvene Cockatoo-Collins Art

Located on North Stradbroke Island, Quandamooka Country is the art studio and retail store of Delvene Cockatoo-Collins. As an independent First Nations artist, Delvene handprints the stories given to her by her mother and grandmother. Visitors can hear these stories and purchase handcrafted and handprinted homewares, clothing, body adornments and original artwork. Open daily and by appointment, Delvene’s retail store is within walking distance from the boat which arrives in Dunwich. Also on offer is a once weekly walking tour, and workshop offering. Delvene is the designer of the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games Medals and presenters outfits, and created the ‘Eugaries’ public art works at Mulumba - Point Lookout also on North Stradbroke Island.
