Carys Martin Ceramics is a ceramics studio that is committed to making beautiful handmade ceramic pieces that are all unique and made with love. Carys believes that the things you surround yourself with should bring you joy and have worth. They should have meaning and soul, and a story to tell. The collections range from functional tableware pieces to one-off pieces of art. Whether hand built or wheel thrown, each piece has its own unique characteristics. To get different finishes, a variety of techniques, glazes, carving and clay are used. It is these differences that make them each unique and keep your attention and curiosity. You can visit the Cleveland studio to shop these handmade collections during Open Studio events, whilst attending workshops or by appointment. All orders are gift wrapped in custom-designed, eco-friendly packaging. Carys runs classes and workshops at her Cleveland studio, teaching hand building and wheel throwing techniques. You can see work made during classes on Instagram and Facebook. Carys regularly holds Open Studio events where you can visit the studio to shop the Collections, see pottery demonstrations and learn more about classes.
