Established in 1970 in Japan by Y.S Food Co Ltd, Ikkoryu Fukuoka Ramen aims to pioneer the way towards a more wholesome and gourmet ramen experience, targeted towards the modern palate.
Specialised in Tonkotsu Ramen and Gyoza (Japanese dumplings), everything is made in house, including noodles, gyoza skin and long process of cooking the soup broths (18hours). Each customer can customise their own ramen depending on how light or heavy the soup broth is, how snappy or chewy the texture of their noodles is.
Ikkoryu Fukuoka Ramen is located at the basement on the corner of Russell Street and Flinders Lane with capacity of more than 140 seating. The venue is designed by Japanese Architect Okada Tomoyuki and all artworks on the wall were painted by hand by Yasuko Sensyu. Its a nice, bright, and full of art ambience that provides the Japanese Ramen experience in a modern underground Melbourne way.
