Established in the 1990’s, Greenoaks Gallery in Launceston was a unique and much loved neighbourhood gallery for many years. More recently it became a private residence. We have now renovated the building, enhancing its delightful original features and reopened using the same name. We aim to bring the same unique appeal and personal touch to the gallery as it enjoyed in its past.
The gallery features the work of our resident artist, Dan Villiers, who works in a wide variety of styles and mediums. Pastel, watercolour, acrylic, drawing and encaustic painting are some of the mediums. Dan paints scenery, flora and fauna from the region in and around Launceston and Northern Tasmania. When you visit he will gladly talk to you about his work and how he created specific pieces.
We are on the picturesque park at St Georges Square. Locals enjoy strolling and picnicing in the shady green park. Cafes and specialty stores can be found on the park and in neighbouring streets.
Ample parking is available right by the gallery.
