King Opal is a unique Gold Coast tourist destination allowing visitors to view and purchase from the largest selection of exquisite Australian opals direct from the miners.
Since the 1880s, Australia's beautiful and extraordinary gemstone, the opal has been mined in the outback. Today, more than 95 per cent of the world's opals are sourced from Australia. On arrival you will experience their opal cutting workshop, a presentation on opal history by their friendly staff that covers all types of opals followed by the opportunity to explore their extensive and exclusive showroom.
In their showroom their professional staff will assist you with your requirements for opal selection and also show you our award winning display pieces from our museum.
With their location only five minutes from all the major theme parks you can experience their attraction that is available from 9am-5pm seven days a week.
