The Railway Museum of Western Australia offers a comprehensive view of railways and their role in the development of Western Australia.
Outdoor displays include full-size steam and diesel locomotives, carriages and wagons, many of which have been provided with safe access so you can climb inside. There are also signals and small buildings, while the Exhibition Building houses a large collection of photographs and smaller exhibits.
Several of the exhibits are classified by the National Trust, and interpretation signage is detailed. On Sundays the model railway club operates, always an attraction for younger visitors.
