The local traditional owners and their ancestors have been gathering and carrying out ceremonies at these amazing rock art sites in the awe-inspiring Western Arnhem Land for tens of thousands of years. Top End Day Tours has special permission from the traditional owners to visit these very special sites. It is by their invitation that we can offer this tour. See excellent examples of early contact art including sailing ships and blue ships, a modern medium which utilised Rickitts Blue washing powder. Local wildlife and hand imprints adorn the walls and caves overlooking the amazing Red Lilly Billabong. This small group tour departs from both Darwin and Jabiru and is 100% guided by one of the traditional owners to the Red Lily Lagoon. Morning/afternoon tea and lunch are provided, along with permits to enter Arnhem Land. This tour is suited to guests who are mobile and have a sense of adventure.
