Balnarring Picnic Racing Club (BPRC) is an incorporated association responsible for the conduct of six picnic race meetings under the auspices of Racing Victoria. The Club has a long proud history of relaxed, family-based picnic racing that dates back to 1863.
The Club is a not for profit institution, surpluses earned through racing activities are either ploughed back into improving community facilities at the Emu Plains Reserve or distributed in the form of community grants in the local area.
Located just 60 minutes from Melbourne CBD, the Balnarring Picnic Racing Club is nestled in the picturesque Emu Plains Reserve in Balnarring. A popular venue for locals, day trippers and weekenders who want to experience the true beauty of the Mornington Peninsula whilst experiencing traditional picnic racing. The six race meetings are held annually from November to April, with live music, free kids’ activities and on course food and bar options. Racegoers can bring their picnic alternatively marquees and roped-off areas ideal for corporate functions and birthdays can be booked online.
