The National Arboretum Canberra has 94 forests of rare, endangered and symbolic trees from Australia and around the world. Walk, jog or cycle on over 20km of walking tracks that wind through the 250 hectare site. You’ll be struck by the range of botanical beauty, including the living artworks in the National Bonsai and Penjing Collection. Due to current health advice, visitor numbers inside the Village Centre are limited. Please practice physical distancing. Enjoy guided bus and walking tours, POD Playground, café, restaurant and gift shop, themed gardens and sculptures with some of Canberra's most spectacular views. The recently opened Gallery of Gardens is a living mosaic of unique gardens on the Events Terrace. Each garden has a distinctive design with a variety of trees, plants, landscape features and welcoming spaces to sit and enjoy the inspiring surrounds. The features include a labyrinth, reflective pond, sculpture and stone walls. Open now: The Open Gardens Australia Celebration Garden, The Labyrinth Garden, The AIDS Garden of Reflection and Mununja the Butterfly Garden.
