Right in the heart of Woodford Village and only one hour’s drive from the Sunshine Coast and Brisbane is the Woodford Historical Society’s Museum. The Museum is a community exhibition hub for the history of Woodford's early settlers and explorers. The museum holds collected items and photographs covering the time from when the Archer Brothers first settled at Durundur in 1841 up until today with donations received from friends and families of the museum. The museum is home of the Mick and Val Draper miniature buildings, replicas of historic Woodford buildings Mick and Val built in their retirement. All the displays in the museum tell a story of days gone by from Woodford and surrounds. School trips and bus companies are welcome to book a private tour. There is easy wheelchair access at the rear of the building with ample room for bus’s to park. Wheelchair accessible toilets are available also. Tables and chairs are available for bring your own morning tea or lunch. The museum shares the space with the Woodford Community Art Group and you can also enjoy their gallery, Art on Woodford. Entry is free but your donation would be appreciated.
