This tree originates from a cone sent home from Gallipoli by and Australian Soldier and is from the Aleppo Pine that stands at the Australian War Memorial.
Finley's tree was planted in 1964 by the late Bob Barnes and his wife Amy as part of a beautification project. The tree stands proudly in the front garden of the club with the recently added plaque so the public can view.
