Situated at the entrance of the majestic Ballaarat Mechanics’ Institute, in the historic gold town of Ballarat, Playing in the Attic is a curious extraordinarium of all wondrous things encouraging you to play. It’s like a studio of ideas.
On walking through the garland of orange flowers at the doorway, you may find yourself face to face with a rocking zebra, a paper circus, wind-up scooter girls, a tiger coin box or a rabbit chasing butterflies on a notebook.
Playing in the Attic is the only Australian stockist for Deaf Messanger handmade notebooks from Prague, and The Printed Peanut products from the U.K. You will also find an extensive selection of Lamy pens, washi tape, baskets, wool felt, gorgeous gifts, greeting cards and wrap, along with children’s craft sets, jigsaw puzzles and games.
With stock arriving all the time from different corners of the globe, and locally made products from around the corner, Playing in the Attic is a treasure trove of colourful products to delight any visitor to Ballarat.
