Royal Yacht Club Of Victoria are a Melbourne-based yacht club offering sailing experiences on Port Phillip. There are learn-to-sail program for all ages. No experience necessary. They have a fleet of keel and dinghy boats. Their Training Centre is 'Australian Sailing' approved with qualified instructors. They can organise sail experiences for couples, birthdays, corporate, school and community groups.
There's regular club sailing on Wednesday, Saturday and Sundays all year round. Skippers are always looking for crew to help out. Depending on your level of experience, they can match you up.
Apart from national and international sailing events, RYCV annually holds the Lipton Cup Regatta in November. Over 100 boats take part from all around the bay. Its the regatta for everyone from kids to adults.
Apart from sailing you can obtain your boating, powerboating handling, power boat safety and VHF radio licences with us.
With such a great city back drop you couldn't learn to sail in a better place. The club is close to public transport too. Catch the ferry over if you prefer.
