Ink & Spindle Hand Printed Textile Studio

Located within the Abbotsford Convent Historical arts precinct, the Ink & Spindle studio and shop features locally designed and made textiles, homewares and gifts inspired by the Australian landscape. With a focus on ethical and sustainable production, Ink & Spindle's range of textiles are hand-printed by our small team in our Abbotsford based studio. The production and retail spaces are combined so visitors may have the opportunity to see the fabrics come to life on the 13 metre table whilst browsing our wares. Ink & Spindle use water based, solvent free inks, and print onto eco-linen and organic cotton/hemp based cloths. The textiles are designed with longevity in mind, focussing on themes and colour palettes that have timeless appeal. During your visit to the Abbotsford Convent you also have the opportunity to visit the heritage gardens, take a guided tour of the precinct and visit the numerous eateries and artisans on site.
