Experience virtual reality goggles, motion-sensor video games, and archaeology discoveries more than 150 years old at Metro Tunnel HQ. Located in the heart of the CBD, across the road from the Melbourne Town Hall on Swanston Street, the visitor centre is a great place to find out more about Victoria's biggest ever public transport project and how it will benefit Melbourne. View an exciting collection of artefacts from the half a million discoveries so far from under Swanston Street. The largest archaeology digs in Victorian history offer a glimpse at the life of Melbourne in the 1800s. Kids and historians alike will love learning about the story of these items. Discoveries are being made every day, so come back often to see what’s new in the archaeology cabinets. They are also offering students of all ages to take part in the Metro Tunnel Education Program. The free sessions for schools involve in-depth learning about the Metro Tunnel and careers in infrastructure. Engaging activities in the dedicated learning centre are inspiring experiences for developing minds. Teachers can find out more and book on the Metro Tunnel website. To learn more, visit the website.
