Home of ‘James Halliday’s Riesling of the Year (2017)’. What began as a retirement dream in the late nineties for Hilde and Duke has turned into an incredibly successful winery business. The 25 acres of vineyards are planted exclusively to riesling, cabernet and shiraz, and due to the cool climate location at the western end of the Porongurup Range, the wines enjoy an elegance and spice that is endemic to the region. Hilde Ranson is a celebrated artist and responsible for designing the curved cellar door overlooking the vineyard and the picturesque Stirling and Porongurup Ranges. The cellar door also doubles as an art gallery, Hildes Gallery at Dukes, and a function area. The winery has been listed in James Hallidays Wine Companions Top 100 wineries every year since 2013, and in 2017 the Magpie Hill riesling was James Hallidays Riesling of the Year.
