Located in the heart of the CBD, across the road from the Melbourne Town Hall on Swanston Street, the visitor centre is a great place to find out more about Victoria's biggest ever public transport project and how it will benefit Melbourne. View an exciting collection of artefacts from the half a million discoveries so far from under Swanston Street. The largest archaeology digs in Victorian history offer a glimpse at the life of Melbourne in the 1800s. Kids and historians alike will love learning about the story of these items. Discoveries are being made every day, so come back often to see what’s new in the archaeology cabinets. They are also offering students of all ages to take part in the Metro Tunnel Education Program.
