Built by convicts in 1829, the Commissariat Store is one of the oldest buildings in Brisbane and today houses a museum where you can explore many interesting artefacts and Brisbane memorabilia. The riverside site of the stores is located on what was a gateway to the new colony. Prisoners and guards disembarking would make their way past the building to reach the other buildings of the settlement. Due to current health advice on social distancing, please contact the business for the most up to date information regarding opening times and services.
