West Australian Symphony Orchestra's (WASO) Gala Event.

In August 2018, the acclaimed German soprano Gun-Brit Barkmin made her Australian debut in WASO’s Tristan und Isolde and blew everyone away. From the roar of the audience it was clear that Perth wanted more of this exceptional artist. WASO has responded and have created an evening of operatic and vocal masterworks from Beethoven, Strauss and Wagner to shine the spotlight on Barkmin’s phenomenal talent.

Being renowned worldwide as one of the finest exponents of Salome, WASO is thrilled that she concludes this gala event with the dramatic final scene of Strauss’ extraordinary opera. Don’t miss this opportunity to experience one of the most remarkable voices of this generation with Asher Fisch leading ‘an orchestra at the top of its game’.
